EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE TO REACH THEIR POTENTIAL

We are a multi-disciplinary clinical team, experienced in assessing emotional, relational and psychological needs for those in the care system. We work with young people and the people who support them to recognise their unique qualities. Through communication and collaboration we navigate challenges, build connections and cultivate resilience to create long term stability.

Making Connections & Cultivating Resilience to develop long term stability

The process of coming into care causes young people to lose a reservoir of knowledge about their personal history including their unique qualities and challenges. Without a continuous relationship to provide a context social workers, teachers, carers and families can struggle to understand their needs which are further complicated by trauma and often an experience of neglect.
At Selenos we fill in the gaps, make connections and cultivate resilience, both for the young person and the people who care for them.  We comprehensively assess a young person’s history, behaviour, emotional state, relationships and psychology so that we can recognise their needs and support their growth.
We create long term stability through collaborative multi-agency interventions. We do this by working directly with the young person, and by developing a culture of communication and collaboration in the network that supports them.
